Concreto, acero y membrana

Colegio Alicante del Sol – Coliseo abierto. Chile 2009

Nuevamente junto con Marsino Arquitectos, con un nuevo proyecto, esta vez para cubrir la losa deportiva del colegio, esta comprendía el área de juego y tribunas.

El proyecto está configurado por seis arcos iguales, los cuales llegan al piso a través de un cambio de materialidad,  columnas de concreto armado tangentes a la curva del arco. Los arcos se organizan en tres pares, como se ve en las imágenes, determinando tres módulos con la misma superficie.

A partir del modulo central se determina una generatriz en el espacio, que me permite girar copias del mismo formando la sección de toroide. Se lee claramente como se sumerge en el suelo gracias  a la continuidad de las columnas de concreto.

Finalmente se logra percibir como un objeto integral; membrana, concreto y acero.

Once again with Marsino Arquitectos, with a new project, this time in order to cover the college outdoor gym, this included the playground and grandstands.

The project is configured by six equal arches, they go to the floor through a change of material, reinforced concrete pillars tangent to the curve of the arch. The arches are organized in three pairs, as shown in the images, by determining three modules with the same surface area.

From the central module I determined a generatrix in space, which allows me to turn copies of the same, forming the torus section. We clearly read how it goes into the ground thanks to the continuity of the concrete columns.

Finally we are able to perceive it as an integral object; membrane, concrete and steel.
