Del 6 al 8 de abril del presente año se celebro en Montevideo el IV simposio Latinoamericano de Tensoestructuras. El evento consistió en una serie de ponencias de diversas empresas de la región y algunas de fuera, asimismo hubieron invitados especiales.
Fue la primera vez que participaba de un evento de esta naturaleza y en representación de CIDELSA. La Arq. Aurora Perez y yo ofrecimos una ponencia en la que se hizo un resumen de cómo comenzó la empresa y como está creciendo y consolidándose en la región, asimismo se expusieron las obras más importantes de las que hemos participado y que estamos desarrollando actualmente.
Del 24 al 27 de mayo asistimos a la feria Techtextil, que tuvo lugar en Frankfurt, en esta oportunidad fui con el Ing. Fernando Rodriguez. En dicha feria pudimos ver nuevas ofertas de materiales, maquinas y accesorios que actualmente estamos implementando.
Días después asistimos al 16th Textil Roof workshop que se realizo en Berlín el 30 de Mayo. Similar al simposio en Montevideo se dieron ponencias de empresas, ingenieros y arquitectos que expusieron sus trabajos e investigaciones, esto se daba en las mañanas y en las tardes se realizaban talleres prácticos, desarrollo de modelos físicos como también a nivel computacional con los últimos software disponibles.
Disfrute mucho de este taller, tuve la oportunidad de conocer a mucha gente interesante y experimentada en el tema, como también a gente que al igual que yo sigue aprendiendo de este sistema alternativo que cada vez toma más presencia a nivel mundial.
Próximamente del 5 al 7 de octubre del 2011 se realizara en Barcelona el V Stuctural Membranes, al cual hasta el momento tenemos programado asistir.
From 6 to April 8 of the present year, took place in Montevideo the IV Latin American Symposium of Tensile Sructures. This event consisted in a series of presentations from various companies in the region and some from outside, there were also special guests.
It was the first time I participated in an event of this nature and representing CIDELSA. Architect Aurora Perez and I offered a presentation in which we summarized how the company started , grow and consolidate in the region, also we exposed the most important works of which we participated and we are currently developing.

From 24 to May 27 we went to the Techtexti trade fair that took place in Frankfurt, in this time I went with Eng. Fernando Rodriguez. During the fair, we could see new offers of materials, machines and accessories we are currently implementing.
Days later we attended the 16th Textile Roof workshop which took place in Berlin on May 30. Similar to the symposium of Montevideo, companies, engineers and architects exposed their work and research, this occurred in the morning and during the afternoon workshops were done, it included development of physical models as well as computational ones with the latest software available.
I really enjoyed this workshop, I had the chance to meet so many interesting people with lot of experience on the subject.

Coming soon from the 5th to October 7, 2011 will take place in Barcelona the V Stuctural Membranes international conference at which until now we are scheduled to attend.
