Mundial Femenino de fútbol sub-20 FIFA 2008
El Estadio Bicentenario de La Florida ubicado en Santiago de Chile y su gemelo el Estadio Nelson Oyarzún, ubicado en Chillan, son dos de los cuatro estadios en los que participe del diseño, ambos se desarrollaron bajo el mismo concepto y sobre las mismas bases estructurales, haciéndose un solo diseño de cubierta para ambos.
El estudio de arquitectura que tenía a cargo ambos proyectos, Judson y Olivos Arquitectos, nos hizo llegar la arquitectura general (imágenes superiores), esta comprendía la modulación y altura de las tribunas, se nos solicito un diseño que mantuviera la trama estructural ya que esta ya estaba desarrollada, asimismo debíamos respetar la normativa de la FIFA para estos recintos.
En el transcurso del diseño se compartieron criterios, como por ejemplo el uso de líneas rectas, formas sencillas y resultado de este intercambio fue el diseño que les muestro, un diseño bastante simple pero que creo se comunico bastante bien con la arquitectura del estadio.
En relación al desarrollo, se trabajo en nueve módulos típicos, entre estos dos diferenciados, los que van sobre las tribunas y los que van sobre el edificio.
La superficie de la membrana se desarrollo dentro del marco rectangular, hacia tres lados rígidos y hacia la fachada, mediante dos cables que se unen formando una punta, la cual mediante el cable central tensa la superficie y sirve de desagüe pluvial.

The architectural firm that was in charge of both projects, Judson y Olivos Arquitectos sent us the general architecture (pictures above), this included the modulation and height of the stands, they asked us to design the cover and maintain the structural framework that was already developed, we should also respect the FIFA standards for these areas.
During the design we shared criteria, such as the use of straight lines and simple forms, of this exchange result the design that I show, a very simple one, but I think it communicate very well with the facade architecture of both stadiums.
