We were asked to cover the central square of
the Portal El Belloto Mall , the client needed an easy assembly
and disassembly structure, because in the future they want to move the cover to the third
level.
The square is octagonal shaped, so I
translated that geometry to the design of the cover but volumetrically, the structure skeleton was obtained by decomposing
the octagon and then rotating its components, like a mecano with simple struts and bolts.

Experiencia LED - Stand EXCON 2011
CIDELSA - Mejor stand EXCON 2011
Gracias a
It took place the EXCON XVI (Expo-home & Construction) in Lima, which every year gathers the most prominent construction industry, infrastructure, architecture and design in general. CIDELSA showed up once again and in this opportunity I was request to design the new Stand.
My purpose was to model an unique object that appreciated as a volume, rather than a simple flat roof, to achieve it, we model a cone pointing to the sky and other invested, joined at the base, also turn the tension rings in opposite directions .
With the proper materials and lighting we recreate a giant lamp suspended within the tubular structure such as "Mecano" very slim, which is characterized as being completely disassembled.
This time we use LED lighting, through a computerized program that would change color thus enriching the visual experience of visitors.
I´m glad to say that this Stand has awarded
the prize for best stand by the Organizing Committee.
